This suite consists of three modules that enable Ethernet control of a Slim Devices SqueezeBox, Transporter or Duet when connected to a PC hosting the SqueezeCenter software version 7.0.0. The SqeezeCenter software is free of charge from Slimdevices. The Squeezebox hardware starts at only $249.00 USD.
Player Control: This module includes the ability to manage the player from a Crestron touchpanel, including:
- Browsing or searching the SlimServer's music library by songs, artists, albums, or genres
- Control playback, including play, pause, track previous and next as well as the ability to skip to specific locations within tracks
- Shuffle, repeat and random controls
- Control the player's volume, bass and treble
- Search capability
- Internet radio support
- Added Dynamic Graphic support for album art
- The ability to access the external digital inputs when used with a Transporter [Not applicable for SqueezeBox]
Player IR Emulation: This module allows you to emulate button presses on the SqueezeBox's included remote control.
Player Text Display: This module allows you to display two lines of user-defined text on the SqueezeBox's front-panel display. Common uses include displaying caller ID or similar information.
Please note that the modules can only control a player that has been associated with a SqueezeCenter server. The module will not control a player on its own. Also the module does not provide support for anything on the SqueezeNetwork such as Rhapsody or Sirius.
