This module provides control of a Roku Labs PhotoBridge HD1000/HD1500 HDTV Media Player. Control is provided via either an RS232 serial connection or a TCP/IP telnet session. Control includes playback from all supported media types (CompactFlash, SD/MMC, SmartMedia, and MemoryStick) of both MP3 audio and JPEG slideshows. ID3 tags from MP3 files are read back to the touchpanel for the currently playing song. Control also includes discrete power control, output format selection, and information display mode. The ability to mount network shares for content has also been provided. All commands on the manufacturer's IR remote are also supported.
This module supports the latest release version of the Roku OS for the HD1000, which is 1.5.18. This module has been tested with 2.0.35 and 2.0.36 beta versions. Those versions have problems with the implementation the API that we have made Roku aware of. You must user version 1.5.18 for successful external control.
